First Ann Savage and now Donald Westlake

Forgive me if I'm a bit slow on the news here but we've lost yet another great in the world of crime and noir fiction.

As with Ann Savage, I only just learned of the passing of Donald Westlake and, again, from Nathan Cain's Independent Crime.

As with Ann Savage, I would defer to Nathan when he encourages you to check out a link, this time to Sarah Weinman's Confessions of an Idiosyncratic Mind, where she has a number of links to the life and times of Donald Westlake.

Donald Westlake was 75.

Updated to add: Have a look at Duane Swierczynski's remembrances of Donald Westlake and his novels and short stories and how he tracked them down.
